Admission Guidelines

• Make sure you meet the dual credit admission requirements:
  • High school GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • To enroll in English classes: ACT English section sub-score of 18 or higher or a higher placement test.
  • To enroll in math classes: ACT Math section sub-score of 21 or higher or a higher placement test.
• Speak with your high school principal or guidance counselor regarding Early Entry (Dual Credit) courses offered at your high school.
• If you wish to enroll in classes on campus at Minot State contact the Dual Credit Coordinator to discuss course options and the enrollment process.

Submit your application and supplemental materials to MSU.

In- Person Dual Credit
Courses taught by high school teachers that count for high school and college credit. 
$89.43/credit 

Online Dual Credit
Courses taught online by MSU faculty that count for high school and college credit. 
$153.96/credit 

Emerging Scholars Award

Earn an Emerging Scholars Award equal to the tuition for each course* taken at your high school during your high school junior and/or senior year. When you enroll on the MSU campus as a full-time student for the semester following your high school graduation, you can use your Emerging Scholars Award to offset the cost of tuition and fees. Recipients of the Bank of North Dakota grant and/or Dollars for Scholars may not receive an Emerging Scholars Award.

Bank of ND Scholarship

Complete the Bank of ND Scholarship form immediately to provide enough time for your paperwork to be processed.

Please fill out this form and submit it to the Bank of ND by Email: cpcgrp@nd.gov or by fax (701) 328-5629.

Students that qualify for free or reduced meals at their high school should apply as this scholarship. It can provide free tuition for two classes per academic year. This form needs to be sent to the Bank of ND, not MSU.

New Students

• Claim your NDUS account 
  • You will be assigned a username and password.
  • Email Amy Woodbeck at amy.woodbeck@minotstateu.edu to inform her of your application. 
  • You should receive a confirmation email from Minot State University.
• Complete the Financial Obligation Agreement
  • Login to Campus Connection.
• Complete the FERPA form
  • Login to Campus Connection.
  • Click the eforms tile.
  • Click the FERPA Release Form link.
  • Select Minot State University from the drop-down menu.
  • Scroll down to complete the form.

Current Students

• Complete the Financial Obligation Agreement
  • Login to Campus Connection.

We encourage you to strongly think through enrollment before applying for a Early Entry (Dual Credit) Course, but if you decide you need to drop a course please use the following guidelines:

• If you are taking more than one course, but only dropping one of them, complete the Early Entry (Dual Credit) Drop Form
• The course must be dropped within the first 8.99% of instructional days of the semester. The exact date can be determined from the Business Office. After this date, there may be no refund for a dropped class.
• If you are dropping all your courses, please complete the withdrawal procedures. A sliding scale tuition refund process is used based on the withdrawal date.

You must contact Minot State University directly to drop a course. Requests made to your high school administrator or counselor does not guarantee a change in enrollment at Minot State University.
