POWER Activities

  • Priority Registration: Get the classes you want by registering before the rest of campus. 

  • Academic Coaches are available to help you pick out classes, explore majors and careers, recommend resources, and be an advocate. 

  • Opportunities to meet more people and make the most of your MSU experience. 

  • Financial Literacy: The POWER Center aims to help students understand the financial commitments associated with college. POWER Advisors will assist students with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and applying for scholarships. Advisors can also help students apply for on campus jobs and work-study opportunities. 

  • Workshops on topics essential to your success: learning styles, study skills, stress management, and more. 

  • Enhanced Resources such as learning style inventories, career inventories, guidebooks for test taking, and study enhancers.

  • Peer Tutoring Sessions are offered for most subjects on campus in both one-on-one and group format. 

  • POWER Graduation Celebration - Honoring POWER graduates and their accomplishments with an evening dinner and recognition event.
